The new compositions are now well under way having completed several studies. I've uploaded a couple of details of the painting and then will unveil the rest of them once the rest of the series is completed. It is interesting how one progresses and develops their approach to the subject matter. I have started focusing more on an essence of an image than the compositional aspect of the image. This is more in line with my desire in deconstructing photographs and source images to construct an abstract expressionistic piece of art which portrays the mood and essence rather than what's in the image itself
